The stainless steel jug is easy to pour with a nice, robust handle and pouring spout. The 250mL jug is dishwasher safe for easy clean up.
Despite the versatility of this milk frother, it is less than $50, which makes it a bargain in our mind.

This milk frother makes hot or cold frothed milk, and also steams milk for a perfect latte, cappuccino or any of your favorite beverages.
The HadinEEon milk frother is easy to use, just push the buttons and you’re off. It comes with two different heating/frothing whisks, depending on what your needs are. Our only complaint, this one isn’t dishwasher safe, so you’ll have to clean by hand.

Because this milk frother doesn’t heat the milk, it is a great option for making other beverages like milkshakes, or mixing cocktails. However, on the downside, this frother doesn’t heat, so for hot beverages, you’ll need to warm milk first.
4. Best Large Volume – HIC Harold Import Co. Milk Frother

The HIC Harold Import Co. manual milk frother holds more milk than most other milk frothers. We like its simple styling and clear glass body that make it easy to see how much froth you’ve made.
However, this is a hand operated frother, so it does require more work than automatic milk frothers. The HIC Harold Import milk frother isn’t dishwasher safe, however, we found that it was easily cleaned in warm soapy water.
5. Best Handheld – Zulay Kitchen Handheld Milk Frother

We liked the variety of colors the Zulay comes in. This frother doesn’t heat milk, so you’ll need to start with warm milk for hot beverages. Also the whisk is not removable, so you’ll have to hand wash in a container to clean.

This 8 ounce milk frother makes enough frothed milk for a couple of cappuccinos, which is great. We also liked that this milk frother is dishwasher safe, which isn’t the case with many milk frothers out there. If you don’t mind the work, this is a great product at a great price, coming in at less than $20.

Our last product is our pick for the best electric milk frother. The Miroco milk frother was a super easy to use frother that made perfect frothed or steamed milk. This frother does heat milk while frothing, which is a great added benefit.
We really liked the three different whisk options which created three different foam types, for a greater variety of coffee and tea drinks. The simple design of this milk frother is nice, and it is compact enough to store even if you’ve got minimal cabinet space.
Our one big complaint – this milk frother isn’t dishwasher safe. It was easy to clean, but not as convenient as other milk frothers.
When it comes to milk frothers, our favorite was the Secura 4 in 1 Electric Automatic Milk Frother. We thought it made a really nice consistency of frothed milk, and it was easy to use and simple to clean. It was all around a great product.
If you do love a cappuccino in the morning, but don’t want to give your hard earned cash to a coffee shop, then do consider adding a milk frother to your kitchen tools. It is a handy, and relatively inexpensive tool that will make enjoying your favorite coffee beverage, a breeze, right from your own kitchen.
How to Choose the Best Milk Frother
If you are in the market for a new milk frother, you’re probably already aware that there are a ton of different milk frothers out there to choose from. After testing milk frothers and reading user reviews, we came up with this list of buying features that we think are the most helpful to consider, when shopping for a milk frother. If you don’t have this appliance at, then you better get one. After all, there are many things you can do with a milk frother.
We found that most milk frothers come with a couple of different materials that you should be aware of, and that should be important when considering a milk frother.
Most milk frothers have at least some part of the product made from stainless steel. This is a great material option because it is generally durable, and long lasting. Stainless steel can be present as the interior container of your milk frother, or for hand-held frothers, you should look for a stainless steel whisk. Stainless steel is also easy to clean, and is a good material if your frother also heats your milk.
Most milk frothers also have some plastic parts. We found that in general, plastic parts were left to handles, and lids. Parts that you will be holding on to while using your milk frother. If your milk frother heats your beverage along with frothing, do make sure that the plastic handles are durable, and actually heat resistant.
You may also find milk frothers that are glass or aluminum. These are OK options too, but we do think that there is a lack of durability when it comes to glass and aluminum.
Ease of Use
You don’t want a milk frother that takes a Ph.D. to operate. Sure, it may be fancy, and maybe it is the top of the line, but if you have to read the owner’s manual every morning, just to get a tasty cappuccino, your milk frother probably isn’t worth the price.
Do look for a milk frother that has simple to understand instructions, intuitive controls and operating options that aren’t overly complex to understand and use. You’ve picked a milk frother to simplify your life and help you save money. If it is too complicated to use daily, it probably isn’t a great investment.
There are three options out there for you to choose from: electric, battery operated, and hand-held. Each of these options has their benefits and their downfalls.
Electric milk frothers allow you to froth milk, without the worry of power. Just plug your frother in to a standard electrical outlet, and you’re ready to go. You won’t have to worry about a battery dying in the middle of your morning coffee preparations, if you pick an electric milk frother. The downside? You’re tied to your kitchen or another place that has electrical outlets.
Battery operated frothers add an extra level of convenience, since they aren’t tied to an electric outlet. You’ll find that many battery operated frothers are a bit less powerful than their electric counterparts. You’ll also find that the batteries tend to die, when you least expect, which can be a bummer. However, if you want to go camping and still enjoy a cappuccino in the mornings, a battery operated milk frother is a great tool to have.
Hand-held frothers are another nifty option. These are almost always battery operated, so they are highly portable. They are also super compact, so if you don’t have a ton of storage space, or want to travel with your frother, this is a great option. Hand-held frothers can be a pain to clean, and most don’t heat your milk. On the other hand, these frothers can be used for other things like making milkshakes and mixing cocktails.
You’ll find that most milk frothers don’t come with a ton of extra features. However there were some options that we did find that we thought were helpful.
If you don’t want to warm your milk in the microwave or on the stove, you might want to consider a frother that also warms your milk. This is a handy feature, and great for keeping your coffee hot, after you add the milk for your latte or cappuccino. If you select a frother that heats, do also look for one that has an auto-off feature, so you don’t end up burning your milk.
We also thought that the milk frothers that came apart were extra handy as well. Made cleaning them a ton easier.
Ease to Clean
Since we’ve mentioned this… you’re going to want to consider how much work it takes to clean your milk frother. We like hand-held options, because even though the whisk usually won’t detach, all you need is a cup of hot water to clean up. Hand-held frothers that do have a detachable whisk, are great, especially if they can go in the dishwasher.
When you’re considering electric or battery operated style milk frothers, we did find that it was helpful if you could disassemble the frother, and put some parts in the dishwasher.
However, there are many great options out there, that don’t disassemble and require hand washing. If you select one of these options, do pick one that has a larger mouth, so you don’t have to work magic to get a sponge or washcloth into the frother for cleaning.
